The first 3 points are VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ...
FIRSTLY... WE DO NOT ALLOW UNACCOMPANIED JUNIORS
(under 16's) ON RAYGILL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME.It is very important that this is noted and you DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN ON RAYGILL PROPERTY AND GO AWAY TO DO SOMETHING ELSE! We are not covered on our insurance as child minders and baby sitters. Problems DO occur and we cannot be expected to be responsible for the welfare of YOUR child.
We want to encourage youngsters to come fishing but not alone! Take the time to spend some time!
Secondly, please be aware of the law..
The Environment Agency law states that if you are over the age of 12 years old you MUST have a valid rod licence to fish for freshwater fish, eels, trout or salmon in England, Wales or the Border Esk in Scotland.
This includes all private waters and fisheries like ours
(even your own garden pond). If you are accompanying an under 12 and NOT fishing yourself, you will still need a licence for YOU as you will probably be handling equipment, rods, etc used by the under 12. YOU can still be fined! :( You are allowed to fish 2 rods per licence. The NRA man is very keen in this area so you have been warned and he will fine you for the slightest discrepancy.
USE THIS LINK TO ACQUIRE YOUR LICENCE. You can get as little as 1 day licence up to 1 yr. www.environment-agency.gov.uk/rodlicence
Thirdly, if you require any tackle (hire of rods, pole rigs etc) PLEASE CALL US BEFORE YOU SET OFF to arrange this for you. We need time to set these up ready for you.
We stock luncheon meat and sweetcorn and thats it! If you need anything else you will need to go to a tackle shop before coming fishing.
